Dingdong Dantes offers twice the drama in “I Can See You: AlterNate”

Two Dingdong Dantes’ in one show? You bet.

The actor is to portray twins Nate and Michael in the latest installment of “I Can See You” dubbed “AlterNate.”

Dingdong admitted it was both challenging and rewarding.

“Sa totoo lang, kung anu-anong klase ng paghahanda ang sinubukan ko. Pero noong pagdating ko sa set, hindi ko pa rin talaga alam kung paano ko siya gagawin,” Dingdong told us.

“Pero alam mo ‘yung magic kasi ng filmmaking, it really allows us to explore so many things with our fellow artists. And I think ‘yung totoong paghahanda ay nangyari sa set, sa pamamagitan ng pag-interact namin, when we were reading the script while we were in quarantine.”

He went on, “I learned a lot, actually. It’s my first time and I’m thankful that I took on the challenge.”

Torn between the two is Beauty Gonzalez’ character.

The actress is quite happy being paired with Dingdong.

“I’m flattered na ako ‘yung kasama niya and I’m so happy, I’m very excited about the show. It’s a great start for the year to partnered with the Primetime King. It’s such a privilege,” said Beauty.

Aside from Dingdong and Beauty, the upcoming series will also feature Joyce Ching, Bryan Benedict, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Ricky Davao.

It will be directed by Dominic Zapata, who also directed Dingdong in his last TV series, the adaptation of the K-Drama “Descendants of the Sun.”

The project is Beauty’s second show with GMA after signing with the network June last year. “I Can See You: Alternate” airs Jan. 10, on GMA Telebabad.
