ILIGAN CITY ~  Twenty-four members of a group called Kingdom Filipina Hacienda-Autocratic Monarchy based here were arrested for allegedly occupying a school property in Barangay Ditucalan last Saturday.

The group led by a certain Salvacion Legaspi, who introduced herself as “Queen Majesty”, occupied the Francisca Paradela Legazpi Memorial School (FPLMS) in Barangay Ditucalan without permission. They brought with them personal belongings such as beds, pillows, blankets, rice cooker, laptops, among others, according to police report.

Iligan City Police Station 2 personnel together with barangay officials and the school principal negotiated with the intruders to vacate the school premises earlier around 10 a.m. last Saturday, but they refused to, said police station officer-in-charge Maj. Rixell C. Torayno.

This prompted the city cops, together with members of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)-Iligan, Barangay Captain Jasmin T. Pates, and school principal Danilo Vasquez Salvo, to enter the school and arrest the group.

“Nakiusap ang mga babaeng kasamahan (ni Legaspi) na hindi lang lagyan ng posas ang kanilang ‘queen’ pero mga wild man. Inagaw ang posas at itinapon, sinisipa ang mga babaeng pulis”, related Torayno.

Torayno said the ancestors of Legaspi donated the land where the school was erected but  half of it was paid by the local government.

The group brought with them documents that would prove their claim.

“Mayrong  mga dokumento na iyon ini-insist nila, nagpapatotoo na sila ang nagmamay-ari ng buong Pilipinas, Iligan City in particular, inangkin talaga nila”, Torayno said in an interview.

Legaspi’s group is called Kingdom Filipina Hacienda-Autocratic Sovereign Monarchy with headquarters they call “Royal Castle”. The group has its own Tribunal Rural Bank and currency called “euro” based in Barangay Pala-o.

The arrested individuals were detained at the Iligan City Police Station 2.

Meanwhile, Legaspi refused to comment on the matter.

Cases of trespassing and resistance and disobedience to persons in authority will be filed against the group, Torayno said.
