Bievenido Maranon fired four goals as defending two-time champion Ceres Negros pummeled Global-Makati, 8-0, over the weekend in the Philippines Football League at the PFF Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

The Spanish talisman scored twice inside the first 13 minutes to help the Busmen secure their second straight win and overtake idle Kaya-Iloilo for the lead with seven points.

MIke Ott, Mahir Karic and Jeff Christiaens also produced goals for the Bacolod side.

Green Archers United also produced back-to-back wins after a 5-1 romp of debuting Mendiola at the same pitch.

Angelou Val Jurao delivered a brace to put Green Archers level on points with Kaya.
