Luisita Golf Club kicked off its title bid with an opening round of 125 to take a five-point lead over Manila Southwoods in the Fil-Championship division Sunday in the 69th Fil-Am Invitational golf tournament in Baguio City.
Rodel Mangulabnan fired 34 points to lead Luisita. Other scorers were Eddie Bagtas 32, Chino Raymundo 30 and Raffy Garcia 29.
Manila Southwoods leaned on Raul Minoza’s 32 points and a pair of 30s from Tommy Manotoc and Theody Pascual. Also counting was Bong Sison’s 28.
Megafiber, led by Mari Hechanova’s 30, was running third with 112 points.
