It was with a bit of discomfort, that he said ‘yes’ to the project. But, before doing so, he asked for a meeting with Richard and the production team, wanting to get assurance especially from Jodi’s leading man, that it was all right for him to enter the picture, their picture.
Robin revealed that even during the height of ‘Be Careful with My Heart,’ he himself was a fan of the show, and the loveteam that bannered it.
‘Solid ako sa kanilang tandem,’ he said.

FANS lOVE ROBIN IN COMEDY: Henry Quitain, one of the show’s three directors, believes that Robin can contribute much to the Jodi-Richard tandem.
‘May laban si Robin sa team-up nila,’ he stated.
Fans love Robin when he’s playing it kenkoy, off the cuff, uncouth, ruggedly handsome.
The veteran actor wondered why directors now ask him all sorts of requirements.
In the monster hit Unexpectedly Yours, he was told to shave his moustache, which audiences applauded.
In Sana Dalawa, he shows more of his body. He goes half-naked in a scene with Jodi.
‘Bahala sila, basta ako, binibigay ko lang ang gusto nila. Sa edad koba namang ito, kahit ano ibibigay ko na,’ he said.

JODI TIMES TWO: Jodi plays a dual role in “Sana Dalawa angPuso.” She is both Lisa, the feisty boss and Mona, the hardworking tomboy.
Lisa’s world turns upside down when her father, Juancho Laureano (Christopher de Leon), betroths her to Martin Co (Richard Yap), the son of a business rival. She decides to run away and hide and live with one of their workers, Leo Tabayoyong (Robin Padilla).
By the way, Mona and Lisa are not related to each other. “Magkamukha lang,” says Jodi.
Jodi isn’t content playing dual roles in this new daily TV series. She’s also juggling her time between filming and studying.
The actress has gone back to school taking up a college course in Ecology in an international school. She recently posted that she made it to the Dean‘s List, a no mean feat for a busy body like Jodi.
