FDCP partners with SM Cinemas to house quality indie films

SIMULA ngayong March 3, 2017, regular nang mapapanood ang quality Pinoy indie films sa walong branches ng SM Cinemas nationwide sa loob ng tatlong taon.

Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng na-close na deal of partnership ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chaired by Liza Diño-Seguerra at ng SM Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc. (SMLEI) with its President Edgar Tejerero.

Pagkalipas ng ilang taon, sa wakas ay mapapanood na ng mas malaking audience ang award-winning indie films na ito all year round. Ang mga sinehan ay nasa SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Fairview, SM Iloilo, SM Southmall, SM Cebu, SM Bacoor, and SM Mall of Asia (or SM Davao or SM Lanang).

Ayon sa post ni Chairman Liza sa kanyang social media account: “Continuing its commitment to support local independent and award-winning movies, SM Cinema has partnered with FDCP to bring independent films closer and more accessible to moviegoers,” ani Chairman Liza.

Isa aniya sa mga layunin ng FDCP na ang palaguin ang film community sa bansa sa pakikipag-partner nito sa iba’t ibang sektor.

Ayon kay Tejerero, mas magiging mababa ang ticket prices ng mga nasabing indie films. (MELL T. NAVARRO)
