Beach volleyball action resumes in the 2016 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Challenge Cup today with heavy favorites expected to bolster their respective title bids at the Sands SM by the Bay at the Mall of Asia grounds.

Petron XCS and Foton try to preserve their respective unblemished records when they collide at 3 pm, even as F2 Logistics clash with Standard Insurance B for its second win at 5 pm.

Aiza Pontillas and Bang Pineda of Petron, and Cherry Rondina and Patty Orendain of Foton are coming off back-to-back victories in last week’s opener to give them a quick start in their respective title campaigns.

Aby Maraño and Danika Gendrauli of F2, meanwhile, hopes to keep their hot momentum going in their first pair-up against Standard Insurance B’s Florence Madulid and Pauline Genido.

Fancied Jovelyn Gonzaga and Nene Bautista of RC Cola Army A are also out to keep their clean 2-0 slate when they tangle with Meralco’s April Ross Hingpit and Jonafer San Pedro at 6 pm, even as Far Eastern University-Petron’s Bernadeth Pons and Kyla Atienza square off with Cignal Team Awesome’s Mary Grace Berte and Vhima Condada at 7 pm.

Men’s hostilities also fire up starting at 8 am with Wayuk’s Philip Bagalay and Paul John Cuzon raising the curtain by meeting FEU A’s Joshua Barrica and Jude Garcia.

University of the East-Manila’s Geric Ortega and Ruvince Abrot confront IEM’s Arjay Salcedo and Bobby Gartidula at 8:45 am; and Cignal’s Rey and Reyland Taneo battle FEU B’s Greg Dolor and Rikko Mamerto at 9:30 am.
