Binay says gov’t won’t be ‘manhid, palpak’

Vice President Jejomar C. Binay yesterday reiterated what he can bring to the table as the next chief executive even as his spokespersons made the case why he will win as president on May 9.

United Nationalist Alliance standard-bearer Binay said that unlike the present administration, his presidency will provide health care for all, improve government services, provide jobs for the poor, and fix the Metro Rail Transit and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Without naming them, the 73-year-old Binay pointed out the perceived flaws of his fellow presidential contenders while expounding on his platform.

Binay, who has built his platform based on his 20-year tenure as Makati City mayor, vowed to focus on ridding the country of poverty something leaders have so far failed to do for a very long time. (Ellson A. Quismorio)
