P109-M 6/55 jackpot eludes bettors

Manila, Philippines – The chase is still on as Grand Lotto 6/55’s overwhelming odds of one in 28.99 million continued to frustrate nearly two million punters after its 246th draw Monday with P109,321,423.20 at stake produced no winner.

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said prize for Wednesday is seen at P115 million, more or less. Of the estimated nearly two million bettors for the Monday draw, 20 managed to get five of the winning combination (08-28-20-19-48-33), which is worth P150,000 each as consolation prize. ADD THIS: PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said for the Wednesday draw the windfall for a solo winner is projected to reach P115 million, or even more, depending on the ticket sales. He said he expects more lotto patrons to try their luck as the 6/55 prize has now breached the P100 million mark. (Edd K. Usman)
