Oil firm faces P6-B case

Commuters press transport fare cut

Manila, Philippines – Commuters are still bent on convincing the government to reduce jeepney and taxi fares despite the recent oil price increases. Elvira Medina of the National Center for Commuter Safety and Protection (NCCSP) said it would still push for the reduction of the minimum fare for jeepneys from P8 to P7.50 and the flagdown rate of taxis from P40 to P30.
