The Department of Education (DepEd) is expecting around 23.8 million students in public and private elementary and high schools nationwide for the school year 2013-2014 that starts on June 3.
According to the DepEd Research and Statistical Division, 13,259,489 elementary pupils are expected to troop to public schools while 1,216,693 will go to private schools.
