A 58-year old Australian tourist was found dead inside the toilet of his hotel room Monday in Ermita, Manila. Victim Kimberly James Powell was found lying on his back and clad only in a white t-shirt without lower garment at the 7th floor of the Paragon Tower in Ermita, Manila.
PO3 Alonzo Layugan of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said a small plastic container which contains assorted medicines believed to be for hypertension and diabetes was found near the victim.
As of press time authorities were waiting for representatives from the Australian Embassy where they hope to get more details about background of Powell and his travel purpose.
No arrests have been made as police are still trying to determine the cause of Powell’s death. (Jenny Manongdo)
