‘Ban peeing in public’

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A local lady lawmaker wants to prohibit men from urinating in public places.

In her privilege speech during the regular session of Sangguniang Panlalawigan last Monday, Quezon 2nd District board member Elizabeth “Beth” Sio said she based her proposal on some existing laws on the protection of environment, health, and sanitation.

She cited as an example the law that prohibits the disposal of human waste into the rivers and other places.

She also proposed the installation of portalets or urinals in strategic places to prevent men from urinating anywhere. (Danny J. Estacio)
