Drug den owner nabbed in Iloilo

A drug den owner and a drug user were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Iloilo province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said yesterday.

PDEA Director General Arturo Cacdac Jr., identified the arrested drug den owner as Jodie Dedoroy, 46.

Cacdac said that Dedoroy was arrested during a buy-bust operation at past noon Thursday at his house in Barangay Aurora del Pilar, Dumangas, Iloilo.

Operatives also arrested during the entrapment operation suspected drug user Arjie Demagajes, 46.

Operatives of PDEA Regional Office 6 (PDEA RO6) under Director Paul Ledesma arrested Dedoroy after selling a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to an agent who acted as poseur-buyer.

Cacdac cited that operatives conducted a further search of the house where they found 32 more sachets of shabu.

Cacdac cited that the house was being utilized as a drug den where illegal drugs, particularly shabu, are sold. (Jeffrey G. Damicog)
