OLONGAPO CITY — A total of 55 passengers were injured in yesterday’s collision between two Victory Liner buses along national highway in Old Cabalan of this city.
According to a report by Chief Inspector Teoderico Catubya of the Olongapo PNP Traffic Enforcement Unit, at around 6:30 a.m., an ordinary fare bus with number 1743 (plate no. CXG-108) driven by San Marcelino resident Faustino Esteban collided with an aircon bus (CXB-481) driven by Guagua resident Emilio Ocampo.
The report stated that the ordinary bus was en route to Bataan when it figured in head-on collision with the aircon bus going to Olongapo City from Manila.
The injured passengers were quickly aided by the residents in the area and emergency responders from the city. (Jonas Reyes)
