3 hurt in Manila fire

Three persons were injured in a fire that hit a commercial-residential building in Manila on Saturday night.

The victims — Eugenio Pua, 51; his wife Libring, and their daughter Christina — were rushed to hospital after they inhaled smoke, according to FO2 Mark Rasonable of the Manila Fire District.

Arson investigators reported that the fire started at 4:36 p.m. at the said building on San Marcelino Street, and reached the 4th alarm before it was put out by firefighters at about 5:21 p.m..

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire. (Rizal S. Obanil)
