CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – After 17 years of hiding, a man wanted in the province of Benguet for a rape case was arrested last Tuesday in Nueva Viscaya, police said yesterday.
Senior Supt. Rodolfo Azurin, Benguet Police Provincial Office director, identified the wanted person as Teodoro Tokak Gaoey, 46, of Nagawa, Bauko, Mt. Province. He was charged with four counts of rape with no bail before the sala of Judge Agapito Laoagan Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 64.
Gaoey reportedly raped a young girl sometimes in 1996 in Abatan, Bugias, Benguet.
He was arrested Tuesday night by Benguet police and members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Cordillera in his residence at Upper Balan Gubung, Watwat in Kasibu, Nueva Viscaya. (Zaldy Comanda)
