TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Three men died Tuesday after the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a passenger bus in Barangay Lorenzo, Lallo, Cagayan.
SPO3 Herardo Conde, duty investigator of Lallo town police station, identified the fatalities as Edgar Molina, 43, motorcycle driver, a resident of Camalaniugan town; and his back riders Michael Mirafuente, 21, of Aparri town, and Rhani Blancaflor, 24, of Lasam town.
The trio died on the spot from severe head and body injuries.
Investigation showed that victims’ motorcycle and a GMW bus with plate number BVL-836 driven by Jackson Alminian, 37, of Barangay Centro, Lallo town, were moving from opposite directions when they collided.
Due to the strong impact, the three motorcycle riders were thrown off their vehicle.
The driver of the bus surrendered to the police after the accident. He is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. (Freddie G. Lazaro)
