A cold weather-associated system will persist in the eastern section of Luzon that may bring heavy rains and thunderstorms over some parts of Luzon today.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the tail-end of cold front over the eastern part of Luzon will bring cloudy skies with moderate to occasional heavy rains and thunderstorms in Aurora and Quezon.
It warned these areas of possible flash floods and landslides due to the rains.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Bicol, and Eastern Visayas, which include provinces battered by typhoon “Yolanda,” will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said moderate to strong winds coming from the northeast to east will prevail over Luzon and Visayas. (Ellalyn B. de Vera)
