Manila, Philippines – The European Union (EU) is providing P17-million (€300,000) in emergency assistance to the people of Zamboanga.
In a statement, the EU said the amount will benefit 100,000 citizens in Zamboanga as it will fund emergency non-food supplies. The project will run for four months.
The funding will likewise assist in the management and provision of services at evacuation and displacement sites around Zamboanga city.
The EU assistance is provided through the European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department. (Madel Sabater-Namit)
