The third leg of the Metropolitan Chess Club Amateur Chess Tournament kicks off on Sept. 15 at the Walter Mart Sucat in Parañaque City.
The one-day event is open to beginners, unrated and rated players with low NCFP rating not over 1850 below, regardless of ages and sexes.
It will adopt the seven-round Swiss System with 20 minutes time control in determining the top ten winners with the champion getting the top purse of P4,000.
Cash prizes are broken down to ten places. Likewise, consolation award awaits the top scorers among the kiddies 12-under &16-under;unrateds;ladies and seniors. Four gift certificates will also be drawn among all the participants.
This monthly event is supported by US-based philanthropist Ms. Rosita Lee and F &B Glass, Aluminum Supplies &Services Corp.
