Some P200,000 worth of property went up in smoke when a fire struck a restaurant in Manila Sunday night.
Fire Inspector Frisco Diaz of the Manila Fire District said the fire started at around 9 p.m. inside a Chinese restaurant on Abad Santos Avenue in Manila.
It reached the third alarm before its was contained by responding firefighters at about 10 p.m. Smoke almost suffocated a fireman while putting out the fire, but he was immediately given medical assistance. Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire. (Rizal S. Obanil)
