Burglars take P1.8M

Burglars carted off P1.8 million worth of cash and valuables after breaking into a home in Quezon City on Friday. Inspector Alan dela Cruz, chief of the theft and robbery section of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), said that burglars gained entry by breaking open the sliding service door of the terrace on the ground floor.

The house, owned by talent manager Leon Tan, 51, is located in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City. Tan told police that burglars were able to take P500,000 in cash; IPhone 4s, P33,000; IPod Mini, P22,000; IPod, P10,000; and P1.3 million worth of assorted pieces of jewelry, watches, and imported bags.

The complainant said that the burglary was discovered when he and his family got home at around 8:45 p.m. Police are now checking the records of the guards at the subdivision. (Jeffrey Damicog)
