A municipal councilor was arrested for selling shabu in Davao del Norte, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said yesterday.
PDEA Director General Arturo Cacdac Jr., identified the arrested suspect as Romulo Esmino, Jr., 36, a councilor in the municipality of Dujali, Davao del Norte.
Cacdac cited that, though he is the number three councilor of Dujali, Esmina has been tagged as a high-value drug personality in Davao del Norte.
The municipal councilor was arrested at around 3:25 p.m. on September 11 in a buy-bust operation in Dujali.
Joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 11 (PDEA RO 11) under Director Emerson Rosales and Dujali Municipal Police Station arrested Esmino after selling one plastic sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to an agent acting as poseur-buyer. (Jeffrey G. Damicog)
