Globe helps Zambo residents

Globe Telecom released relief goods and set up two Libreng Tawag stations last week to assist residents who have been affected by the clashes in Zamboanga City, which started on September 9.

Globe Telecom turned over a total of 2,500 relief packs containing food and bottled drinking water to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Tzu Chi Foundation, and the Philippine Red Cross in Zamboanga City.

In addition to providing relief goods, Globe has also set up two Libreng Tawag stations to enable residents to send texts, and make local calls to all networks, as well as international calls for free. The stations are located in Tetuan Central School and Western Mindanao State University, which have been converted to an evacuation center and mobile hospital, respectively.
