The bounty for anyone who could give information leading to the arrest of the killers of advertising executive Kristelle “Kae” Davantes has reached P500,000 after Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar offered yesterday an additional P300,000 cash reward.
Aguilar made the offer in a bid to speed up efforts to arrest those responsible for the brutal slaying of Davantes whose family lives in Moonwalk Village, Las Piñas City.
The city mayor raised the cash reward after the victim’s silver Toyota Altis (PIM-966) was found abandoned at about 11 p.m., Saturday, at the corner of Nickel and Silver Streets, Camella Homes, Barangay Pamplona 3, Las Pinas City.
Senior Supt. Adolfo Samala, city police chief, said the car had no plate number and seats when discovered, and it was only confirmed as that of Davantes’ through its conduction sticker.
Police theorized that the perpetrators had attempted to burn the car since pieces of cloth soaked in diesel were found inside the vehicle.
The 25-year-old advertising executive was abducted and brutally killed two Fridays ago. (Jean Fernando)
