MMDA announces EDSA repair works

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes as some parts of EDSA in Caloocan and Quezon City will be undergoing repair over the weekend.

The said reblocking and repair operations will be conducted from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

The areas of EDSA in QC that will undergo repair are: the 3rd lane of northbound lane of EDSA from the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Church to Seminary Road and the 3rd lane of southbound lane of EDSA from Roosevelt Avenue to West Avenue.

Likewise, the northbound lane of Araneta AVenue from E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue to Kaliraya Street in QC will also undergo repair.

Meanwhile, in Caloocan, the 5th lane of EDSA southbound of the Monumento Circle; the 1st lane of EDSA southbound after Bank of Makati to Asuncion Street and 2nd lane of EDSA northbound from Bonifacio Market to Monumento will also undergo repair.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) hopes that the said advisory will guide motorist in possible bottle neck areas in the thoroughfares mentioned.

If possible, they are advised to take secondary roads and alternate routes until they are well past the areas mentioned to avoid delay or being stuck in a traffic jam. (Rizal S. Obanil)
