Expect a big crowd in Luneta, Manila, on October 25, when Evangelical Christian churches gather together to pray for the nation and denounce the evil of corruption in the country.
“It’s high time for us to join together and continue the crusade against all evils of corruption,” Bro. Eddie Villanueva, president of the Jesus is Lord Movement, said in a press briefing in Manila.
“We are believing more than a million God-loving, nation loving Filipinos will come together to trumpet the national cry for truth, justice and righteousness especially against all the evils of corruption,” he added. Bishop Dan Balais, president of the Intercessors for the Philippines, said the prayer rally in Luneta is a call for the nation to go back to God.
“We are holding a massive prayer rally on October 25 to call our nation back to God because of the very pervasive roots of corruption in our national life, to repent of the failings of all citizens great and small throughout the land,” he said.
“We will take this time to call all of our political leaders, from the highest to the lowest to humble themselves, forsake their self-willing ways and to find the courage, by God’s grace, to become worthy of their calling,” added Balais. (Leslie Ann G. Aquino)
