Pangasinan folk appeal

Residents of Pangasinan have asked the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to conduct pothole-patching activities in the province.

One of them, Zenaida Devera, a working mother, asked DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson to order the Pangasinan 3rd DPWH to patch potholes caused by rains in its jurisdiction as soon as possible.

Devera stressed that potholes bring discomfort and inconvenience, particularly to pregnant women and old people.

“We pay our taxes so we are expecting the DPWH to maintain national roads in our area for the safety and comfort of the public,“ she added.

A resident of Urdaneta City disclosed that the local DPWH should respond quickly to roadside problems such as potholes for the benefit of motorists.
