An 86-year-old widow from Bulacan won the P44,005,592 jackpot in the Lotto 6/42 draw last August 29.
The winner, accompanied by her son and a grandchild, claimed her prize yesterday at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Pasay City.
PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said the winner, who started betting on the lotto only three years ago, matched the winning combination 17-9-44-29-34-36. Some of the winning numbers were the birthdates of her children and grandchildren.
“She is still relatively strong,” said Rojas of the winner who owns a small farm for rent in Bulacan. (Edd K. Usman)
