Man shot dead in QC

A man was shot and killed while he was about to go home after a drinking spree with friends in his neighborhood in Quezon City late Monday night.

Investigator SPO1 Johnny Mahilum identified the victim as Ayron Natallo, 23, a resident of No. 100 Mayon St., Barangay Payatas, Quezon City.

Natallo was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) where he was declared dead on arrival due to a lone gunshot wound in the back.

Investigation showed that the incident happened at about 11:00 p.m. Monday at the house of his friend Rudy Lubluban located in Mayon St. where the victim was having a drinking spree along with four other male friends.

It was learned that Natallo had just opened the gate and was about to go out when his companions heard successive gunshots.

The victim suddenly fell to the ground where his companions, who were shocked with what had happened, rushed him to the hospital where doctors failed to revive him.

According to the victim’s companions, they did not see who shot Natallo since it was dark in the area where they heard the shots.

The family and friends of the victim also told police that they do not know of any reason why Natallo would be killed.

On the other hand, Mahilum lamented that they have yet to determine the reason behind the shooting and who could be behind it. (Jeffrey G. Damicog)
