TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III is a sure winner in Cavite’s vice gubernatorial race with his big margin against lone opponent Ronald Jay Lacson.
Latest unofficial partial quick count showed that the 24-year-old Revilla of Lakas-Christian-Muslim Democrats (CMD) has 394,147 votes while the 38-year-old Lacson 231,105 or a margin of 163,042.
The Provincial Commission on Elections (Comelec) has yet to proclaim the winners for the gubernatorial, vice gubernatorial, congressional and board member positions as only 78.26 percent of the votes has been accounted for as of yesterday morning due to the delay of transmittal of vote reports from Alfonso, Silang, Tanza and General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) municipalities and Dasmarinas City, a personnel said.
Once proclaimed by the election board of canvassers, Revilla would be Cavite’s youngest vice governor ever. (Anthony Giron)
