OLONGAPO CITY – Allegations of vote-buying has been high in this city as a president of a state college was nabbed for allegedly buying votes for Mayor James Bong Gordon Jr., a candidate for the representative of the first district of Zambales.

The capture of Gordon College of Olongapo president Arlida Pame was one of the most controversial yet a more clearer picture of the rampant vote buying in the city during the eve of the elections. Pame, along with her driver, was detained at the Olongapo Police Station 3 as they tried to escape the administration building using an unlicensed gray Vios where they were caught by Vice Mayor Rolen Paulino.

Paulino, a mayoral candidate of Olongapo, caught the president giving money to “scholars“ around 9 p.m. at the Gordon College administration building. (Jonas Reyes)
