Caretaker killed in Cainta fire

 

Philippines –A 31-year-old man died when he was trapped inside their burning house in Rizal the other night.
The fatality was identified as Reynaldo Baguio, a caretaker of the house owned by a certain Patrick Parenio.

Chief Fire Inspector Marcial Rosete, Chief of the Cainta Fire Station said that the fire started at 7:52 p.m. at the house of Parenio in Violet Street Midtown Village, Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal.

The fire quickly engulfed the house made up of light materials but firefighters were able to immediately respond to the scene to prevent the blaze from spreading to the nearby houses.
Firefighters declared fire out at 8:23 p.m.

However, when firemen surveyed the burned house, they found the reamins of the victim in one of the rooms.

Fire probers believe that the victim might have panicked once he saw the flames and was unable to get out of the house in time for his safety.

Arson investigators are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire as well as the damage to property. (Rizal S. Obanil)
