Party-list survey

Manila, Philippines – Thirteen party-list groups are most likely to gain at least one guaranteed seat in the House of Representatives, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey said.

In the nationwide survey conducted last March 15 to 17 with 1,200 registered voters, 11 party-list groups are poised to occupy at least one slot in the House of Representatives.

Bayan Muna (8.68 percent) and Gabriela Women’s Party (5.55 percent) could get the maximum three seats, having garnered the support of at least two percent of the respondents.

Meanwhile, party-lists that could get two seats each were Akbayan Citizen’s Action (3.71 percent), OFW Family Club Inc. (3.6 percent), Coalition of Associations of Senior Citizens in the Philippines Inc. (3.52 percent), Advocacy for Teacher Empowerment Through Action Cooperation and Harmony Towards Educational Reforms (3.45 percent), Magdalo Para sa Pilipino (2.83 percent), Abono (2.6 percent), An Waray (2.49 percent), and Anakpawis (2.45 percent).

Party-list groups that could get one seat each were Ang Laban ng Indiginong Filipino (2.2 percent), Abante Mindanao Inc. (2.14 percent), and Kabataan (2.03 percent).

The names in the survey were based on the official Commission on Elections (Comelec) list of 136 party-list groups. (Ellalyn B. de Vera)
