Manila, Philippines – If the May 2013 elections were held today, known individuals will likely make it to the Top 12 list of possible winners in the senatorial elections, based on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
In the November survey with 1,200 respondents, Senators Loren B. Legarda (68 percent), Francis Joseph G. Escudero (61 percent), and Alan Peter S. Cayetano (58 percent) topped the list of the Top 12 contenders in the 2013 senatorial elections.
A separate survey by Pulse Asia, released last Tuesday, showed Escudero and Loren as frontrunners in the senatorial race.
Ranked fourth to 12th in the survey were former Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia A. Villar (51 percent), San Juan City Rep. Joseph Victor E. Ejercito (49 percent), Sen. Koko Pimentel (46 percent), Cagayan Rep. Juan Ponce Enrile Jr. (46 percent), Sen. Gregorio B. Honasan (43 percent), Vice President Jejomar C. Binay’s daughter Maria Lourdes Nancy Binay (41 percent), former Sen. Juan Miguel B. Zubiri (41 percent), reelectionist Sen. Antonio F. Trillanes IV (40 percent), and former Sen. Richard J. Gordon (37 percent). (Ellalyn B. de Vera)
