LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced yesterday that they are now accepting applicants for male and female drug law enforcement officers.
According to PDEA, the applicant must be a passer of the Career Service Professional examination or Board examination or Bar examination, or qualified by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) or under special laws to be eligible for Career Service Second Level Position; a Baccalaureate degree holder; at least 21 years old but not more than 35 years old on the date of appointment; at least five feet and two inches in height for men, and five feet in height for women, or have a height waiver if under height; computer literate; physically fit, with sound mind and body; willing to undergo the Drug Enforcement Officers’ Basic Course, a sixmonth rigid training at the PDEA Academy in Silang, Cavite undertaken on the job but will result to separation from the Service if not passed; willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines; with burning desire to fight the illegal drug problem in the country; with commendable oral and written communication skills; with good moral background; and exuding with self-confidence.
Interested applicants in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) can get a copy of the PDEA Agent Application Form from the PDEA CAR regional office in Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, or thru download from the agency’s website at http://www.pdea.gov.ph.
PDEA requires applicants to personally submit to the PDEA CAR regional office his/her greencolored, aptly labeled and tabbed application folder, containing the duly accomplished Application Form. (Liezle Basa Inigo)
