This is the first time Bea’s playing a querida.

About time? Bea’s in her mid-20s and has played sweetheart, wife, best friend, daughter. So why not mistress for a change?

THE OTHER STARS – Co-starring with Bea in “The Mistress” are Ronald Valdez as the husband, Hilda Koronel as the wife, and John Lloyd Cruz as the suitor.

Ms. Koronel flew all the way from Los Angeles to appear in “The Mistress,” her comeback film after six years. She loves the script and has high regards for the director, Olive Lamasan.

Hilda’s last two films were also for Star Cinema. “Nasaan Ka Man” with Jericho Rosales, Diether Ocampo, and Gloria Diaz. “Don’t Give Up on Us” with Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual.

Ronaldo Valdez notes that in the ABS-CBN soap “Betty La Fea” he was Bea’s father. And now he is her lover and provider.

In past films, John Lloyd has always been Bea’s love interest.

10TH YEAR – Yes, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz mark their 10th year as love team in “The Mistress.” Long before Sarah Geronimo, Bea was already Lloydie’s screen partner – both television and movies.

Direk olive is excited to be reunited with them, being a certified fan of the love team.

“I saw them grow up, from chubby stars to accomplished actors,” says Olive.

Also cast in “The Mistress” are Anita Linda, Carmi Martin, Tony Mabesa, K Brosas, Gabe Mercado, Minnie Aguilar, Nor Domingo, Clarence Delgado.

It’s hyped as an imperfect love story.

TRACK RECORD – Olive Lamasan is now the top lady director, with several trophies to her name.
