Manila, Philippines – IT took a haunting dream for Manny Pacquiao to abandon his old ways and become a more dutiful child of his Creator.
The boxing superstar made the revelation during his grand thanksgiving party held July 28 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, which also served as a praise and worship meeting.
In a footage aired on the TV5 program “Reaksyon” on Aug. 14, Pacquiao related, “Nanaginip ako isang gabi, ’di ko ma-explain kung gaano kaganda, kung nasaan ako, kung ano’ng lugar na ’yun. Nakaluhod ako at umiiyak, na humihingi ng tawad sa Panginoon. Maya-maya, narinig ko, napakalaking boses.
“Alam n’yo, ’pag narinig niyo ang boses ng Panginoon, lahat kayo matatakot gumawa ng kasalanan.”
Pacquiao also admitted, “Noon hindi ko kayang mag-resist sa devil. ’Pag may mga chicks na nagdadaan, gaganun (susunod ng tingin) ’yung mga mata ko. Pero ngayon, because I have a strong spirit, ang tinitingnan ko na lang… ang pinakamaganda sa buhay ko… ’yung asawa ko,” he said, pertaining to his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao.
In the past, Pacquiao got linked to a number of celebrities, such as Ara Mina and Krista Ranillo, and was even rumored to have fathered a culinary student’s child. He denied all allegations.
“Alam mo… palagi akong nagdadasal. I believe God. But when I read my manual, alam ko… ’Di ba sabi, ‘Why do you call me Lord and you do not do what I say?’” Pacquiao told “Reaksyon” host Luchi Cruz-Valdez.
Pacquiao’s better half is happy with the change, enthusing in a separate interview, “Yes, I have a new husband.”(Bulletin Entertainment Online)
