Manila, Philippines – Police released yesterday artist’s sketches drawn with the help from closed-circuit television footage of at least four suspects in Thursday’s gutsy P33-million pawnshop robbery at the Metropoint mall in Pasay City.
Pasay City police quoted a Tambunting Pawnshop auditor as saying the armed men took P33 million in valuables and managed to escape after the robbery. Initial findings showed the robbers also fired two shots, triggering a stampede. One of the four entered the pawnshop and poked a firearm at the security guard while his two companions then entered the pawnshop with iron pipes, and destroyed the display case. A fourth suspect acted as lookout. (Jean Fernando)
