Manila, Philippines – Five bettors won and will share the P16-million jackpot in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw last Thursday.
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said the winners placed their bets in Cainta, Rizal; Quezon City, Santa Rosa City, Laguna; Silay City, Negros Occidental; and Iloilo City.
They correctly guessed the winning combination 7-30-20-12-5-8.
Arnel Casas, manager of the PCSO Central Operations Department, said it is not unusual for five or more bettors to win the jackpot in a lotto game, just like in the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on January 7, 2011 when six bettors won and shared P4,955,526. The winning combination was 12-9-2-8-1-11.
“Having multiple winners is not unusual. But it is incidental, particularly if the winning numbers are those in the calendars. Some have their favorite numbers while others bet on lucky pick,” said Casas.
Meanwhile, the Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot in today’s draw is expected at P118 million.
Nobody won the 6/55 jackpot of P108.27 million last Wednesday. The winning combination was 50-17-41-27-13-31. (Edd K. Usman)
