3 perish in road collision

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Three persons were killed while another landed in critical condition in a hospital person when a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV and a school bus of the University of Southern Philippines (USP) accidentally collided head-on along the national highway of Barangay Cumawas, in Bislig City on Thursday.

Initial report received by the Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) here from Bislig City Police Office (BCPO) showed that one of the casualties, Jane Gumera Maglasang, 23, died on the spot while two other victims, Rumualdo Fernandez Lim, 60, businessman, and Raquel Quirido Llubit, 18, died while undergoing medical treatment at the Andres Soriano Memorial Hospital in Bislig City. Injured was Benjamin Aguilar Peralta, 29, who suffered multiple head and body injuries and remains in critical conditi0n at the same hospital. (Mike U. Crismundo)
