Teachers’ campaign

Manila, Philippines – Bells in most public schools nationwide simultaneously rang yesterday as teachers called on the government to respect their rights “insure a reasonable standard of life for themselves and their families” by upgrading their salary.

Led by the Alliance of Concerned Teachers, teachers sound-off campaign for salary increase by ringing school bells from 12:00 noon to 12:15 pm as part of the “Nationally-Coordinated School Bell Ringing Day for Salary Upgrading.” (Ina Hernando-Malipot)
