Pinoy makes it to top 5 of American singing contest

FILIPINO-American Jason Farol has made it to the Top 5 of the new American reality search “Duets.”

Farol said he is happy to stay in the competition and he is looking forward to continue singing with his partner “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson.

“Performing every week with Kelly will always be a huge highlight. She’s been a huge idol of mine since I saw her first audition. Being able to be up there and sing and meet all the contestants and superstars is really exciting,” he said.

“She said she saw herself in me in the beginning because when we first started off, we’re both really not sure if we can even make it in this industry. She’s seen the struggle and how hard it is to really be a part of this industry and all the hard work you have to put in,” Farol added.

Among the remaining contestants, Farol is the youngest and has the least performing experience.

Farol said he does not regret being in the bottom two of the competition for several weeks because this has given him the chance to hone his singing. (ABS-CBN News Online)
