KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines – Authorities arrested 28-year-old Teddy Atabelo, a suspected drug pusher, in a raid here, around 2:30 a.m. yesterday, said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) spokesperson in Region 12.
PDEA-12 spokesman Vince Lachica said they confiscated from the suspect 13 sachets of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves, both considered illegal drugs.
The drugs were valued at P13,000, according to Lachica.
The arrest of Atabelo came after they received information from a concerned citizen in Barangay Balindog.
Atabelo then became the subject of surveillance and monitoring of PDEA-12 and other law enforcement agencies.
PDEA operatives raided the suspect’s house and caught him having a pot session after one of the agents, who posed as buyer, was able to purchase shabu from him. (Malu Cadelina Manar)
