Manila, Philippines – Instead of lining up, applicants for licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) were advised by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to just go online.
“It’s better to go online than to fall in line,“ Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda D. Baldoz said.
She said through the PRC’s On-line Application System (OAS) that was launched at the PRC Central Office in Sampaloc, Manila, applicants for licensure examination may now file and process their application through the Internet, anytime, anywhere.
“Instead of falling in line and waiting, PRC licensure applicants can now apply for the examinations in the comforts of their home, office, school, or a nearby Internet cafe. This means that at the initial stage, the applicant need not come to the PRC to encode the information that the PRC requires,“ said Baldoz.
She said the OAS will also reduce, if not remove, the long queue of applicants at PRC offices.
PRC Chairperson Teresita R. Manzala explained how the system works. She said by logging on at the PRC website http://www.prc.gov.ph/ online/application, applicants will encode and submit their application.
“However, they would still be required to go to the PRC for the verification of their documents, but this is before the deadline of the application for their chosen examination, for payment, and to get their notices of admission or test permits,“ said Manzala.
“Any error on the encoded information that applicants committed when they applied online can be corrected during the validation process,“ she added. (Leslie Ann G. Aquino)
