Manila, Philippines – The Aquino government should impose a 90-day ultimatum for the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other law enforcement agencies to ensure that the country’s top four fugitives also called the “Big Four” would be brought to the bar of justice.
Quezon City Rep. Winston “Winnie” Castelo and Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Rodel Batocabe said the PNP should exhaust all means to arrest the Big Four, proposing that if authorities fail to arrest them within the three-month period, heads must roll.
They said the continued failure of police to apprehend retired Army Brigadier General Jovito Palparan, former Palawan Gov. Joel Reyes, Coron, Palawan Mayor Mario Reyes, and Dinagat Island Rep. Ruben Ecleo Jr. has put the Aquino government’s efforts to fight criminality under fire. (Charissa M. Luci)
