Manila, Philippines – NO WAY – Aside from the Ara Mina-Cristine Reyes “sister act,” what’s the other sizzling issue, the talk of the town?
Should transgenders be allowed to join the Miss Universe beauty pageant?
While it’s okay with Donald Trump, almost all beauty contest winners here are against it. The likes of Miriam Quiambao, Melanie Marquez, Maribel Lopez, Vangie Pascual. They have nothing against transgenders on a personal level, but they believe the Miss Universe contest is only for real women.
Transgenders are not women – even if some of them look prettier than real women.
One harsh critic called them “mulitated males.”
So why not a gay Miss Universe contest? Open to all gays, transgenders, transvestites, cross-dressers, and what have you.

‘RETOKADA’ – There’s this rumor that one of the contestants in the last Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant is a transgender.
Which is unbelievable considering how strict and thorough the screening of candidates was by the staff of Dona Stella Marquez de Araneta.
Turned out the candidate in reference was only retokada and not operada. Which is okay.
Look, many Venezuelan delegates to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International contests are retokada beauties. And they keep on winning.

BACKLASH – Heard that Cristine Reyes might just lose several projects because of her very public feud with sister Ara Mina.
They include a movie and several endorsements, one of them a beauty product. Advertisers are very conscious of the image of the endorser of their products or services. They don’t want her (or him) involved in ugly and controversial issues.
Cristine hurled really hurting words against her Ate, enough to make Ara sue her sister.
Ara has the sympathy of the public.
Devastated by it all is their mother, former LVN starlet Venus Imperial.
