Manila, Philippines – KARYLLE defended “It’s Showtime“ co-host Vice Ganda on rumors that the comedian is hard to get along with.
In a press launch for the music video of her single “I’ve Found My Smile Again“ from her album “Roadtrip,“ Karylle said the public should consider that Vice Ganda went through a difficult time with the passing of his grandmother early this year.
“Hindi siya mahirap kasama…One of the things with being a comedian, nakikita ko that they always have to be happy and may mga pinagdaanan din naman siya,“ she said. “Alam ko kahit na nakita siya doon sa wake, hindi niya fully na-express ang grief niya. Once in a while kapag nakakakita siya ng lola sa show, naiiyak talaga siya. I understand that kasi I’m also close to my lola, but not like him na lumaki sa lola niya.
Asked to react on the issue that “It’s Showtime“ director Bobet Vidanes allegedly resigned from directing “It’s Showtime“ following a “tiff“ with Ganda and other co-hosts, Karylle replied: “Actually, wala namang naganap na ganoon. But of course, kapag hindi kasi masyadong sinasagot ang intriga, nagiging mas magulo siya. Kasi hindi naman ako directly involved. Although family ko sila, mahirap ding magsalita kasi hindi ko rin alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko.
Karylle then assured that Vidanes is still the director of “It’s Showtime.” (ABS-CBN News Online)
