Manila, Philippines – IMPRESSED by his talent, President Benigno S. Aquino III has asked his musician friend, Ogie Alcasid, to teach him a few funny “Boy Pick-up” lines.
Aquino attended the launch of the OPM2GO where people can listen and buy OPM titles last Wednesday night in Eastwood Plaza, lauding Alcasid and other people behind the project.
Alcasid portrays the hilarious character, Boy Pick-up, that he popularized in “Bubble Gang.” He uses nonsensical pickup lines in verbal battles in the television show.
Aquino commended Alcasid for using his talent to promote the welfare of fellow artists, musicians and Filipinos. He said the OPM2GO project initiated by Alcasid was proof that the singer is supporting his administration’s straight path.
With the online store showcasing their songs across the world, Aquino expressed hope that other Filipino musicians would continue to serve as inspiration to others. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
